LUPINE SIZING GUIDE
Helpful Tips for Lupine Products
I'm having trouble fitting my pet, can you help?
Properly fitting attire is a must for everyone! For Collars, measuring around your pet's neck and adding 10% for comfort is the general rule of thumb. For Harnesses, measuring their girth (just behind the elbows) and adding 10% will be the measurement your are looking for. That said, there are many different shapes and sizes of pet and some that will be tough to fit. Please feel free to contact us directly with any sizing issues you may run into! How do I wash my Lupine collar? Machine-washing our products is fine. Some people use a mesh bag (to save wear-and-tear on the inside of the tub), others just put them in with jeans and similar sturdy clothes. The key points are warm, not hot water; mild soap, no bleach; and air dry only - don't put them in the dryer or the nylon may get all shriveled! For extreme situations, pre-soaking in an enzymatic cleaner like Nature's Miracle or Simple Solution may be helpful.
How do I put on the Roman Harness?
Unbuckle the clasp on the girth strap. The strap with the D-ring should be on top with the D-ring pointing towards the tail. Place the two adjustable shoulder straps over the dog's head. Pick up the dog's left front paw and place over the sternum strap, so that the strap passes between the forelegs. Adjust and buckle the girth. The girth should be supported by the rib cage all the way around, especially underneath. Adjusting the shoulders smaller will shorten the front-to-back length of the harness.

How do I put on the Step In Harness?
When unbuckled, two openings are created for the paws, with an adjustable sternum strap between. Bring the ends up and over the dog's back and fasten the buckle. Adjust the front and back straps for a secure fit, then adjust the sternum strap so it fits snugly.
My Step In Harness was stitched wrong, what do I do?
While we fully realize we are not above mistakes, it is possible to twist the harness so it appears it was put together wrong. Before you send it back for replacement, take a look at this diagram or feel free to give us a call and we can walk you through it! Fix Your Step In.
What exactly is a Combo Collar?
A Combo Collar, sometimes referred to as a martingale collar is a dual-action collar for walking and training and the only design for greyhounds and similar dogs that back out of regular collars. The Lupine Combo Collar differs from other Martingale-style collars because it is made with an additional sewn-in D-ring so it can be used either as a limited-slip choker or as a regular flat collar.
Note: This collar should not be left on an unattended or unleashed dog.
