The body of the "Slipper" is made of a heavy ply cordura and is fastened to the high-grade leather base with a resilient nylon thread. The durable, yet pliable material allows a comfortable fit and makes them safe and easy to apply.

This product is 100% machine washable and is made for multiple uses.

Application

The Equine "Slipper" is as easy to put on and take off as it looks! The Velcro opening is wide enough to slip in the hoof in and tighten the Velcro tabs to create a snug, perfect fit which eliminates any discomfort your horse may experience with regular foot wraps.

Sizing the Equine "Slipper"?

The Equine "Slipper" is tailored for maximum adjustability and fit. The four sizes, along with adjustable Velcro, allows for a custom fit for all normal hoof variations.

Be sure to take note that the hind hooves are a bit narrower than and not as rounded as the front hooves. Therefore, one horse may need two different sizes depending on which hoof you are treating.

1. Measure the widest part of the hoof. Some hooves are longer from wall to wall and some are longer from the toe to the buttress line of the heel. As the base of the "Slipper" is round, it is important to know the widest measurements of the horse�s hoof to ensure a proper fit.

2. Consult our sizing chart and determine which size your horse will require. A smaller size may be preferred as it reduces wear on the "Slipper" and may provide the horse with a better fit.

Equine Slipper is Fabulous Anita Leary (, ) 5 out of 5

After checking numerous websites, I found that Pet Rescue Supply had the best price on the Equine Slippers. I ordered four of the Slippers to try an experiment I thought about to try and rid my horse of whiteline disease -- without having the blacksmith remove the diseased portions of the hoof by cutting into the hoof wall. I was told that cutting the diseased portions of the hoof was the only way to get rid of it. NOT TRUE. Without these Slippers, I never could have treated the problem and would never have gotten rid of the whiteline. The Slippers allow me to treat my horse’s hooves thoroughly -- even overnight -- without any problems. My horse stays comfortable, there are no marks on the hair from the velcro or the Slipper rubbing, and the Slippers stay on perfectly! My horse, who can be very difficult, doesn't even try to remove them with her teeth, so they must be comfortable! Whether you use the Slipper for a missing shoe, a medical treatment, or to help a horse feel more comfortable after a too-short trim, this is definitely what you'll need. I've even washed them in my regular washing machine; however, I suggest putting them in a lingerie bag when you do this so that they won’t get caught in the agitator (although the Slippers are very tough and well-made). I'm happy to answer any questions you might have regarding the slipper or the treatment I use for whiteline disease. To me, these slippers are a God-send and should be in every barn!
